I was shocked to find out that the world-famous, classic boot of choice for almost every punk and skin there is, Dr. Martens hasn't been of an English quality for some time now, cheap Asian labor pumping out a sad empty version of what it once was.This wasn't new, however a YouTuber Rose Anvil opened up my eyes to the disturbing truth that even the English-made Doc was of a quality that didn't measure up to its claims and their way too high of a price tag. Check out his work. Truly amazing stuff. I decided that I had to travel outside the expected Doc Marten yellow stitch because I wanted a boot that was of a real English-made quality, so I took a deep dive into all the different brands of boots I could find online. After some very thorough research I decided to try the Polish-made Altercore 14-hole boots. I was a little skeptical because of the very low price tag but the description they give is 100% accurate. The boot is of a quality that exceeded my expectations. I'm truly amazed that the quality is this high and the price tag is that low. The burgundy rub color however is more of a straight traditional oxblood color at least on my pair. The boot is very stiff and it's going to require some serious breaking-in but that's expected. The measurements are true to size. I only had to go on Doc Martens sizings. I wear a US 12 and the Altercore fit perfect. Don't hesitate to purchase these boots, you will not be disappointed. These aren't the same quality as the now Asian Grinders and Doc Martens. There seems to be a new standard of quality and it's European Polish made. Do yourself a favor and buy the boots!!!
